TECHNOLOGY: SHALLOW SEISMICS
Seismic methods use elastic waves which are generated artificially to scan the subsurface by sound. The emitted waves propagate through the layers and are scattered and reflected at the boundaries between different rocks. Geophones record these signals at the surface .
   
The seismic echo is interpreted and brings information about the lithological and structural conditions of the deeper underground and its physical characteristics.
