OBJECTIVE Investigation of the archaeological monument searching for the physical remains of the former Prisoners' Camp „SS Sonderlager Hinzert“.

COMPLETED WORKS and results
High-resolution geomagntic mapping was applied on an area of 4 hectares in order to achieve an overview of any existing relicts of the former Prisoners' Camp.

The magnetogram shows a nearly complete ground plan as well as details concerning the use of individual parts of the buildings in the Prisoners' Camp. Due to the relatively modern structures the magnetic amplitudes reach ±1000 nanoTesla/m.
